I rebuilt this from a partially assembled model I found on that auction site. One of the front rims was missing, so I made a mold off of the remaining one and cast a replacement out of resin. I think the hood was unique to this kit - I've never seen it in any other issue. I was lucky to find an original set of decals for it. The kit rear axle is a joke, so I replaced it with a much nicer looking resin 9 inch unit. The front wheel wells are all wrong, so I simply removed them. I used a set of shorty headers from one of the newer Thunderbird Pro Stock kits, and an aftermarket resin transmission with external shift linkage. I also shaved the grille surround down to about one half its depth, to make it look more realistic.

Cool, very nice build. I love the red, white and blue. Awesome car!
I always liked this style Mustang. I had a '73 Mach I back in the '80's, man I had a lot of fun in that car!
